The girls' volleyball team is in the FCIAC tourney yet again and looking to remain champs. After defeating Danbury 3-0 earlier this week, the team beat Staples at Ludlowe in the semi-final match on Thursday. (11/5) Senior captain Corrine Somi described the win as “not an easy win, they (Staples) did not give up like other teams do”. The DHS team is still pretty young with only three seniors on the squad: Corinne Sommi, Sarah Gorski and Colby Billhardt. The girls will face the winner of the Windsor/Woodstock game at 5pm at home on Thursday. (11/12) The team will put its skills to the test in the state tourney after the completion of the FCIAC.
