Last year, the Girls Ski team finished third at State Opens going 24-1. Senior Maggie Skeats was named All-State and to Team Connecticut, and sophomores Devin Hart and Lane Anderson were named Honorable Mention All-State.
The Girls Ski team captains this year are Skeats and Carly Schoudel. “The girls have high hopes that we can stay in the top 3 for most races and do well at states." Schoudel said. As for predictions for key racers this season, Schoudel said, “We can most definitely expect great things from Skeats, as she is a great asset to our team. Anderson, who made the Connecticut Team last year, is also expected to do well."
The Girls Ski team is also hoping to see great things from the new freshmen on the team, as many of them have prior racing experience. “This season the girls team hopes to make it to states and keep up with the Fairfield Girls Ski team, which came in first last year,” Schoudel said.
