On Wednesday, January 11th, the DHS Varsity Girls
Hockey team dominated Wilton winning 9-3. Although the team won, they were
disappointed that they let three goals in because Wilton is not their strongest
competitor. They went into the game hoping to come out with a zero on their
side of the scoreboard, but they fell short of accomplishing this goal. Senior
captain Cassidy Schiff reflected on this and said, “the fact they scored 3 just
means that we have to take care of some things defensively, but it looks like
we’re getting our scoring touch back.” The team’s upcoming game against
Ridgefield is going to be a change of pace for the players. “We’re going to try
and use the momentum from this Wilton game to take us through Ridgefield on
Saturday, since Ridgefield is a tough and physical team that we need to be
ready for,” Schiff said.
Come support the girls against Ridgefield on Saturday at 4 PM!
