The DHS girls lacrosse team routed 9th seeded Cheshire High School Thursday afternoon, 21-4, in the opening round of the CIAC Division 1 state tournament. The Wave took out their frustation on the Rams, after losing in triple overtime to Wilton in the FCIAC semi-finals last week. Senior Cali Ceglarski led the 8th seeded Wave, scoring six goals, four of which came in a four-minute stretch. Sophomore Catherine Lincoln chipped in with four goals, helping the Wave build a 13-1 lead at halftime. Darien will play at Newton next Monday, in the CIAC quarterfinals.
