Girls’ Tennis Moves to State Semi-Finals

Girls’ Tennis had a successful day at States when they played away at East Lyme High School on Wednesday. (6/2) In singles, senior Alex Budd won her match 6-2 6-4, junior Lonneke Eenkema van Dijk lost in her match with a score of 1-6 4-6, junior Sophie Doering also won 6-3 6-3, and freshman Jenna Murray lost 0-6 0-6. In doubles matches, senior Emily Hough and junior Amanda Brodsky won their match 2-6 6-3 6-4, senior Sarah Gorski and junior Ellie Riegel also won 7-5 6-1, and finally, juniors Katie Critelli and Kate Morant won their match 6-0 6-3, to bring the team to the State Semi-Finals in Bristol on Thursday (6/3).
