Darien: Off to the L Class Finals

The Darien Field Hockey team went head to head with the varsity New Milford team on Wednesday afternoon at Weston High School. Both teams were vying to go on to the finals and a chance to be 2012’s State Champions. “We all wanted the win so badly,” said junior defenseman, Jackie Brokaw, and after 49 minutes of a scoreless game Darien had a chance to secure a goal on a penalty stroke.  Junior Hollis Perticone took the stroke and made the first and only goal of the night, securing their spot in the finals against Cheshire at Wethersfield High School this Saturday.  Come support the team this Saturday, November 2^nd at 10am in Wethersfield.
