The Darien High School baseball team was nominated as the
Ruden Report Team of the Week last Friday. Then, on Wednesday, April 30th, it was
announced that Darien had won the voting competition, and deservedly so. The Blue Wave has rolled
over Brien McMahon, Trinity Catholic and Harding in the past few days. The
team’s biggest win came with the comeback defeat of Trumbull at Trumbull High School,
with a final score 9-7. The team qualified for states with the 18-6 victory
over Trinity Catholic this past week.
The team has an 8-1 record with 11 more games ahead. The
Blue Wave plays against Bridgeport Central at home today at four.
