By Kevin Cassidy -The Huskies captured the Girls 9-12 House Championship on Friday night with a 24-13 victory over the rival Cavaliers. The Huskies were lead by the great play of senior twins Maggie and Emily Close. "We played well as a team, and during the second half we really started to rebound and shoot well," Maggie said. Emily explained, "The deciding factor was definitely our defense. Everyone did a great job double teaming and helping out. Orange [the Cavaliers] gave us a good game." The Close twins accounted for almost half of the teams points. The Huskies finished its championship season with a final record of 10-2. Junior Charlotte Peters chimed after the win, "There was no doubt we were going all the way all year." Congratulations to the Huskies on a great season!
