The Girls Varsity Lacrosse team lost to Chatham High
School, a team from New York, 7-5 Saturday (3/24) at Darien High School’s
stadium turf. Despite the loss, the girls played aggressively the entire game.
Within the first five minutes of the scrimmage, sophomore Emily Stein scored
Darien’s first goal. Fifteen minutes later, both senior Charlett Stevenson and
sophomore Dillon Shoen each scored. Junior Taylor Hardison, sophomore Emily
Stein, and junior Lexie Perticone all had assists. Junior Caylee Waters stayed
strong in net with two interceptions and three saves.
Although the girls ended up losing, they played
relentlessly and have nothing to be ashamed of. With the start of the real
season just around the corner, the team can focus on improving during practices
and in future games.
Come watch the team play Convent of The Sacred Heart (CSH) today (3/26) at 4PM at CSH’s stadium turf.
