Girls Basketball Defeats New Canaan after 4 Overtimes

Darien Girls Basketball played against the long time rival New Canaan Rams on December 29, their last game of 2018.

Their success would not have come, if not for the efforts of Coach Melba Chambers and star players senior Rachel Stobbie and junior Lindsay Dimonekas. After four grueling overtimes, Darien finally came out on top with a final score of 43-42.

Captain Rachel Stobbie said, “This was the most exciting game I’ve ever played in. There was so much energy in the room, and I’m very proud of my team”.

This is the second victory for Wave ball. Their next game is Thursday, January 3 at home against the Greenwich Cardinals.
