Darien Field Hockey continues its undefeated season with a 9-2 win over Trumbull. Before this game, the tenacious Darien D did not allow a goal all season, but sadly that streak was snapped. “I’m happy the streak is over because it takes the pressure of the girls,” assistant coach Kelly Vegliante said. Juinors Sophie Doering and Sophie Waters registered two goals each for the Wave. Junior Sam Johnston contributed one goal and one assist. Senior Captain Ana Heck also added two goals to the Trumbull beat down. The Wave’s next game is 4pm Monday, October 19 against Brien McMahon in Norwalk. (Photo courtesy of Darien Times)
