Blue Wave Field Hockey team kept up its undefeated record beating Mark T Sheehan High School of Wallingford 8-0 on Tuesday in the CIAC Class M first-round contest. (11/9) From the beginning until the final whistle the Blue Wave forwards dominated. Senior Sophie Watters had two goals along with goals from seniors Alex Iqbal, Leslie Gill, and Sam Johnston. Both Sophomore Lexie Perticone and freshman Hollis Perticone added to the win. With the constant offensive attacks the defensive for the Blue Wave did not have to do much. The few times they were tested there were answers from the strong defense. Watters had a strong game with two goals. “We came to play and it was a team effort,” Watters said. Defenseman senior Courtney Wynne had to say “it was a forward game” and “the forwards played very well.” Come support the girls’ next game on Thursday (11/11) at 2p at home. (Opponent TBD)
