House Playoff Update: Tony Britton leads Thunder to Finals

By Danny Rizzuto - The eleventh and twelfth grade house game between the Thunder and the Spurs ended in a 43 - 40 win for the Thunder this past Wednesday. The game was close through out, the difference between the teams never being over 6 points. Key player Tony Briton (junior) made clutch shots for Thunder and Elliott Helgans (junior) stepped up and played strong defense to keep the Spurs offense under control. Ben Preston (senior) and Graham Maybell (senior) both put up lots of points for the Spurs, but were unable to outscore the Thunder. The Thunder play in the championship on March 4^th and the Spurs play again on a date unknown at this time. Also, the T-Wolves knocked out the Rockets tonight on the backs of John Foster and Nicky Neville. They will take on the Suns tomorrow (2/17) at 8pm in the South Gym.
