On April 24, the Darien Girls Track team competed against St. Joe’s and Norwalk. Junior KC Grady came in second in the 100m dash, missing first place by .13 seconds. However, she won the 200m dash with 27.68, qualifying for FCIACs. Many people qualified for FCIACs yesterday, including senior Maggie Skeats, who threw over 80 ft for the javelin. The results of the meet have yet to be revealed, but I am sure the Blue Wave took home a win. The girls next meet is next Monday, May 1, against Warde at Wilton. Boys track has a meet on Tuesday April 25, so be sure to come out and see them at the Stadium at 4:00.
Junior Abigail Craigin competes at the meet. |
