Blue Wave girls’ hockey lost 3-2 to Ridgefield at Darien Ice Rink on Monday. (12/21) Ridgefield snapped Darien’s three-game winning streak to put its current record to 3-1. Sophomore Sara Shaker and senior Aimee Rich both put the puck through the net to register Darien’s only two goals. “Unfortunately, we didn’t play at our best in the beginning but at the end we played our hearts out,” sophomore Sara Shaker said. The girls have a chance to recapture a win after the break when they face Staples at Shelton Ice Rink on Jan. 4.
