Boys’ varsity swim team lost its home meet at the Darien YMCA against Westhill Co-op Swim Team on Wednesday. (1/27) Although the boys suffered a 77-109 loss, there were a few notable performances. Sophomore diver Tim Murphy, and junior swimmer Chris Weihs, swam a 1:51:10 in the 200-yard freestyle. “Experience is not what happens to a man- experience is what a man does with what happens to him. We will grow stronger from this defeat. Our team is like muscles- you tear us up, but we grow back even bigger and better,” Weihs said. The team is now preparing for its next meet against Ridgefield on Feb. 10.
