Darien Girls Basketball had another
win against New Canaan last night (11/15). The team played fast and
aggressively for the first half of the game. Sisters Kelly and Erin Karzewski are
an unbeatable duo. The score at the end of the first quarter was Darien 17 to
New Canaan 4. Darien was able to keep the better score all four quarters. The
second quarter ended in a score of 22 Darien 9 New Canaan. Foul shots really
helped keep Darien winning throughout the game. Seniors Kate Bushel and Meg
Marren as well as Junior Emily Stein made major contributions that helped their
team gain another win. The third quarter ended in a score of 39 to 19 and the
final score was 49 to 43.
