On Monday, the Darien High School softball team lost to St. Joe’s in Trumbull. The Cadets beat the Blue Wave 12-0 in the 6th inning. Although the Blue Wave has 8 wins and will be playing in the state tournaments in the coming weeks, but will not be competing in the FCIAC tournament. Senior Stefani Gentile and sophomore Rosali Pirone had the only two hits of the game, while St. Joe’s had many hits including a two run homerun and a three run homerun.

“St. Joe’s is always a tough team to beat and unfortunately we lost this year after winning both games we played against them last year. We are using this loss as motivation to work hard at practice and to win against Norwalk tomorrow” said senior Stefani Gentile.
