On Tuesday March 5th, the boys hockey team battled against St. Joes in the first round of state playoffs. The boys ended their regular season with a record of 17-4, with a last upset in FCIAC semifinals to Greenwich in double overtime. Tuesday night they came out strong with an impressive 10-0 shutout against St. Joes. The wave outshot the Cadets 35-10. Senior captain James Gregory states that “It doesn’t matter who we play, we’ll go out there and play our game. We treat everyone the same way”. Even though they beat the Cadets 9-0 in the regular season, the Wave did not take this for granted. They came ready to play and played their game not underestimating the opposing team.

The Wave will now face Notre Dame-West Haven in the state quarterfinals at the Wonderland of Ice on Saturday March 9th at 4pm.
