Darien Boys varsity baseball beat Bridgeport Central on Monday (5/10) by a score of 19-0. Senior David Hickey pitched through five innings and was able to keep Bridgeport scoreless. Starting in the 6th inning sophomore Dillon Duncan stepped on the mound and finished off the victory for Darien.
Almost everyone on the team was able to hit, which allowed Darien to score a season high of 19 runs. “It was a good win, and one step closer to making the state tournament, but we still need to keep working hard and make sure we finish the season with a bang,” senior Brandon Tripodi said.
Darien’s next game is on Wednesday at 4pm (5/12) versus Fairfield Warde at Farfield. Pictured senior Mike Wohlberg.
