Varsity Lax Crushes Fairfield

The Blue Wave Boys Varsity Lacrosse Team crushed Fairfield Warde on Tuesday afternoon. (5/4) Darien jumped out to a quick 5-0 lead by the end of the first quarter. Sophomore Henry West and Senior Brian Gleason added flashy goals to help the Blue Wave. Darien continued its dominance by adding on 10 goals in the second quarter to secure a 15-0 lead by the end of the first half. From there the wave cruised to an easy 21-1 final. The boys are back on the turf on Friday (5/7) when they travel to New York to face Yorktown at 7pm.
The boys junior varsity kept the momentum going. Directly following the varsity dismantling of Fairfield Warde, JV wanted its own domination. The squad jumped out to a 12-1 lead by the end of the first half. The team never looked back closing with a final score of 17-1. The JV team will be also travel to play Yorktown this Friday (5/7) at 4:30pm.
