Blue Wave Girls’ Soccer Drowns the Bears

-By: Samantha Wood-

Girls’ varsity soccer team beat the Norwalk Bears 5-1 at home on Friday. (10/22) With posters of the DHS seniors blowing in the wind to celebrate its Senior Day, the Wave got off to a quick start, with two goals within the first 15 minutes. Senior Georgie Highton dominated the Bears, scoring three goals of the game. Norwalk was only able to get one goal past freshman goalie Phoebe Taylor. This breaks the team’s streak after narrowly losing three games in a row against St Joe’s, New Canaan, and Fairfield Warde. The team’s record is now 8 wins, 4 losses, and 1 tie. Come support the girls when they play Stamford High School in Stamford at 4 pm on Tuesday. (10/26)
