The Girls Varsity Ski Team faced disappointing results in the Connecticut Interscholastic Ski League (CISL) state open finals on Tuesday, February 28th. The team ended with a combined time of 327.90, which put them in last place out of the nine teams competing. The winner of that night’s race was Staples, however the Blue Wave girls were the conference champions in Class S during the regular season.
The individual results from Tuesday afternoon’s races were Fay Rizzuto 50.05 (the third fastest time posted on the hill that day out of all racers), Katherine Graham 54.36, Taylor Hart 54.53, Kailin Edgar 54.85, Allison Graham 55.67, Abby Howe 58.44, Hannah Nilsson 62.81, and Isabel Selhausen 64.43.
The Boys Varsity Ski Team did not qualify for the state race this season, but hope to come back strong next year.
