On Friday (11/9) the Darien Boys Soccer team beat New Canaan 4-0 in the first round of the Class L state tournament at New Canaan High School. This was very exciting for Darien as New Canaan beat the team narrowly in early October.
Senior Spencer McMullin scored within the first twenty minutes and eventually gave Darien a 2-0 lead. With 27 minutes remaining, Darien took a 3-0 lead when Senior Ben Highton scored. Later, Senior Marcus Iqbal scored the team’s fourth and final goal.
Come support the boys this Monday (11/12) at 12:00pm in Redding, Connecticut where they will face Joel Barlow High School’s team.
