Athlete Profile: Brendan Hathaway

By  Courtney Kyritz

Senior Brendan Hathaway, captain of the Blue Wave hockey team, as well as lacrosse team, has proven to be one of Darien High Schools stand out players this year. Reaching a 100 point mile stone this winter during wave puck's hockey season placed him among the top scorers in Darien history. Unfortunately his season came to a quick end with a broken ankle in a game against the Ridgefield Tigers. However, even with this tragedy he was honored with the titles of First Team All-State, First Team All-FCIAC, and team MVP. Neirad spoke with Hathaway about his season, and he said, "It was great to go undefeated in the FCIAC and win the regular season title. It was too bad that we lost in the post season." Next year Hathaway will be continuing in sports as a part of the Gettysburg Bullets lacrosse team which he is looking to be a part of.
