Darien Boys Lacrosse beat East Lyme 16-4 to advance to the finals this weekend. The Number 3 seed Darien faced Number 2 seed East Lyme in Guilford in the state M Division semifinal on Thursday. (June 11) “It was a blowout. Everyone on the team got in,” sophomore laxer Ben Preston said. Senior Tyler Foley led the scoring with five goals. (Pictured) Some laxers noted not only the play but the stinky setting. “The school smelled gross,” Preston said. The boys move on to the championship to play Wilton at Brien McMahon in Norwalk at 1pm on Saturday. "Wilton's a good team and it's hard to beat anyone three times in a season. I'm sure it will be a good game," senior laxer Chas Brickman said.
