The Darien Girls track team went up to New Britain on June 1 to try and prove that they were the fastest and strongest team in the state of Connecticut. The girl’s team has come off a win at FCIACs and States for indoor track and determined to succeed this outdoor season. In the 4 by 100 meter relay seniors Grace Doering, Meg Gilbert, Caroline Zuckerman and junior Meredith Jordan came in 2nd place. The high jump was won by senior Grace Doering. Another strong event for the team was the pole vault where sophomore Elizabeth Crafford, senior Kristen Long and sophomore Charlotte Phillips placed 5th-3rd respectivly in that order. Good Luck to the girls in the State-Open competition.
