The boy’s singles tennis team continued its matches in Hamden, and all four boys won their matches in the second rounds. The matches played on Thursday were continued from Wednesday. Senior captain Dane Gebauer, (pictured right) the number one seed in the tournament, beat Alex Anisimov of Waterford 6-1, 6-2 to advance to the third round. Another senior captain, third seed Chris Martin, beat his opponent Bennett Krantz of Foran 6-0, 6-0 to advance. Junior Britt Gordon and senior James Critelli were the other two team members to win, winning 6-1, 6-1 and 6-0, 6-2 respectively. Four of the boys on the team played. The boys’ doubles team plays today, and the singles tournament, which still has four more rounds to go, continues on Saturday.
