The Blue Wave Sports Blog would like to congratulate senior Artem Skobrev (pictured right) on breaking the school record in the 1600 meter run yesterday at the State Opens. Artem ran a 4:18.54, breaking his time and school from last year of 4:20. He placed 5th in the event, scoring the only points for the Wave at the meet. It certainly was a great way to start finish up his career here at DHS before moving onto UCONN. Artem will be competing at the New England Championship meet this weekend.
