The girls hockey team beat Wilton yesterday (1/5) 3-0, bringing their undefeated record to 5-0. The team came out with the most energy that they have had all season. Sophomore Ellie Bennett scored in the first period to put Darien ahead. With no goals in the second period, the girls came out strong in the third period to get even more ahead. With another goal from Bennett and a goal from senior captain Sara Shaker, the team blanked Wilton. “Wilton is a really good team,” senior captain Emily Tropsa (pictured) said. “But we played our best game yet and won by even more than we expected.” The girls play Simsbury tomorrow (1/7) at 6:30PM in Simsbury.
