The girls varsity lacrosse team had a big win yesterday, April 30th, against Trumbull. The game took place at the Darien High School stadium field where the girls dominated, resulting in a win 21 to 3. Emily Stein, a starting junior commented, “I think today was a great team win. Everyone went in and contributed and made an impact playing.” The girls played with an unselfish quality that allowed them to make great passes and create many scoring opportunities. Junior player, Ellie Bennett, added, “We had our fundamentals down, and everybody executed in the areas they were needed.” A key component to their successful team is the attack who were “very persistent and did an excellent job” explained Bennett. Check out the girls’ next game against Wilton at Wilton High School this Thursday at 4 o’clock.
