DONT MESS WITH THE FAUX HAWK

By Jay Alter - The Soccer Programs at DHS have made the most news this summer as both teams have new coaches leading their programs this fall. Jon Bradley left the girls head coaching job to take the boys job, and Leigh Parsons assumed the Girls position shortly after Bradley's departure. As most DHS teams start making rosters in a quiet manner, having a few scrimmages, and participating in practices preparing for the season, the soccer team is not done making headlines. The Boys Soccer team has decided to add a fourth team captain, Eric Kanigan. Kanigan, a center defender, was passed over last fall when the ex-coach, Nicolae Piperea, named Lewis Clarke, Elliot Helgans, and Matt Collier captains. However, when Bradley took over the team, he deemed it necessary that Kanigan was made captain. Fellow senior captain, Collier said, "I've felt like he's always been deserving of the captaincy and Jon has made a good decision putting him as one of the captains." The Boys open against Westhill on Wednesday, September 14th.
