Darien Girls Hockey Defeats Fairfield 2-0

By Taylor Davis

On Sunday January 29th, the Darien Girls Hockey Team pulled through with a 2-0 win against Fairfield. Freshmen Katie Daileader carried the team and scored both goals. Daileader scored a goal in the last second of the first period and 15 seconds into the second period. However, Senior Captain Cassidy Schiff was unhappy with the way that the team played. Schiff commented on the team’s play and said, “We weren’t doing the light things right and we have to do better at winning the 50-50 battles.” Even though the team won, they still have a lot to work on before playoffs. The Darien Girls Hockey Team plays Greenwich this Wednesday. Schiff expressed her strong desire to win and said, “We want revenge because they beat us 3-1 already this year, but we’ve gotten so much better this year.” It is going to be a battle, so please come out and support them!
