The Darien Boy’s hockey team was able to pull out a 6-4 win against Trumbull on Saturday, January 28th. Seniors Thomas Sulger and Alex Cos were both able to score. Sophomore CJ Hathaway continued his goal streak and buried two. On defense, senior captain Harry Congdon stepped up and contributed two assists. “The boys played great,” senior captain Max Romeyn said. “I am thrilled how hard everyone worked.” Senior Matty Hathaway also had one of the best games of his varsity career by playing a major role in helping his line score a total of three goals. “Everything just felt right. Everyone was doing their jobs,” Hathaway said. Darien Boy’s Hockey takes on Ridgefield on Wednesday, February 1st, at the Winter Garden Ice Arena starting at 8:30 PM, and it’s expected to be a nail biter. Romeyn will return from a shoulder injury, and should definitely be able to give the boys a boost in energy.
