On Tuesday January 10th, the Girls Varsity Basketball team took on Trinity Catholic, winning their first away game of the season. The team effortlessly defeated Trinity Catholic; the final score was 50-28. The team’s record currently stands at 4-3, but the season is still early. “We had a three game losing streak, but now that it’s broken I think we are gaining momentum again. There is still a lot of time to improve,” junior captain Katie Ramsay said.

This season, the team features a strong force of freshmen. 4 out of the 10 girls on the roster are freshmen, and only one senior, Megan Hobbs, leads the team. However leadership is certainly not an issue, as junior captains Katie Ramsay and Christine Fiore have been able to keep the team on their feet. The two tallest members of the team, Ramsay and Fiore will certainly be driving forces toward the team’s success this season.

Come support the girls at their next away game against McMahon on Thursday, January 12th!
