Boys Lacrosse Takes Down New Canaan

By Arden Cohen

The boy’s lacrosse team took on rival New Canaan this past Saturday and emerged victorious. “The game was a nailbiter,” said senior fogo Jack Beatty. Outstanding games for the Blue Wave attackmen. Logan Mcgovern scored his fourth goals to give the boys a lead going into the fourth quarter. The Wave’s defense can overall be described as “lockdown”. Despite minor hiccups, each player dominated his matchup. Jake Bieler dominated the area in front of the goal, while Quinn Fay locked down NC’s UVA commit Jackson Appelt. Other impressive games from Seniors Kevin Lindley, Riley Stewart, and Finlay Collins. “They just work so well together as a team,” said senior attackmen Matt Meyjes. Meyjes had a beautiful assist to Collins for his step down ripper. It is a busy week for the boys who have three upcoming games consisting of Staples on Tuesday, St. Anthony’s on Thursday, and Ridgefield on Saturday.
