Girls Hockey Wins 2/3 Games

Kate Dempsey

This past Saturday, December 1st, the Girls Ice Hockey had their first unofficial game of the season. The team played Shelton at the Shelton Jamboree and played a total of three games, winning two out of the three. For the last game, they tied with New Canaan with a score of 0-0. The games that they won saw a final score of 1-0 and 2-0.

“The team looks good,” junior Caitlin Chan said. “We lost a lot of seniors and we have a lot of incoming freshman but it looks like the team is going to be strong again this year.”

Last year, the team was almost undefended. After playing a total of 20 games, they won 17 of them. The other three include one tie and two losses against New Canaan. It seems that New Canaan will be the most difficult team they will have to face again this year, yet the upcoming season seems favorable for team.

Their next game with be against Hamden at the Darien Ice Rink on Wednesday, December 15th at 5:50 p.m.
