Darien Loses a Tight one to Stamford

Varsity baseball team lost to Stamford 3-2 on Wednesday. (4/22) Led by junior Andrew Hurn on the mound, the Blue Wave put up a good fight until the 7th inning when Darien committed a few errors allowing Stamford to score two runs. The boys are now 4-3. Senior John Gardner batted in junior Dan Pidgeon during the 6th inning to put the Blue Wave ahead 2-1. Stamford came back late in the game after a fly ball was dropped in the outfield allowing a player on 3rd base to score. Darien's next game is Friday(4/23) at 4pm away versus Wilton. Senior David Hickey will take the mound.
