No More Lax: Budget Takes Another Sport

-By: Jack Bushell-

With all of the budget cuts some sports are being cut to save money for “academic” parts of the school. However, there is going to be another sport filling the hole of the now-defunct lax program: curling. In recent months curling has become a sport in which DHS students want to participate. Don’t worry about the lax bros, most are getting first dibs to join the highly-competitive curling team. The head coach of the team is yet to be determined. Whoever it is will be assisted by Rob Trifone. The team will travel to Bridgeport to practice after school until 10pm every day of the week except Thursday, which is a national day of rest for curlers. Show the team support as they compete against East Lyme at a site to be determined by the National Curling Association (NCA).
