Friday (9/28) the Darien High School cheerleading team
preformed at our pep rally, lifting the spirits of DHS students and inspiring
blue wave pride. Dancing to a remix of "Party in the USA" and
"Party Rock Anthem," the girls showcased their new moves. The routine incorporates physically
demanding stunts and intricate dance moves with tumbling. "The program is
improving we hope that will continue to show that through football season into
winter this season," senior captain Kelly Manhart said. Off to a great start, the team
continued to work hard and unite the school this homecoming weekend. Come see
the cheerleaders in action at the next football game, this Saturday (10/6) as
they cheer the boys to victory against Danbury at 2:30
