Boys JV Tennis Has a Strong Start to the Spring Season

By Madeline Ostertag
Darien High School’s Boys JV Tennis team added another win on Tuesday, winning against Greenwich 6-1 at home. The one match the team lost was a singles match in which Neil Gandhi, who recently returned from an injury, played Greenwich’s #1 player. The team looks to play Greenwich two more times this season. This win comes after victories over Fairfield Ludlowe (8-1) on Monday and arch rival, New Canaan (6-2) on Friday, April 8th. This season, seven freshman, one sophomore, and one junior make up the team. The Boys JV Tennis coach, Peter Fox, looks to the team’s success last year of 10 wins and only 1 loss, and hopes for another successful season. Peter Fox said: “Our Boys JV Tennis Team is characterized by its industriousness and enthusiasm, respect for competitors, coaches, bus drivers and for the rules of the game. We strive to be at our best in every situation.”
