Wave Girls Lacrosse Crushes St. Joseph's, 21-4

By Eliie Nelson On April 19, the Girls Varsity Lacrosse team smashed St. Joseph’s at St. Joseph’s High School, outscoring them 21-4. The team has had an incredible start to their season, having won all but one of their seven games so far, losing only to Garden City. Last year Wave Girls Lax took home both the FCIACs and State Champion titles, and there is no doubt that this year the team is reaching for the same accomplishments.
Even after such a wild domination over St. Joe’s, scoring 17 more goals on the offensive end, the team is remaining humble and focused on improving. Sophomore Kendall Wisinski, who contributed two goals, said “We’ve been working really hard in practice so it’s always nice to see our work pay off. The win (against St. Joe’s) was a team effort and we were able to get mostly everyone off the sideline onto the field.” Look out for the next Girls Varsity home game on Tuesday, 4/26 against Westhill.
