The Darien boys varsity hockey team triumphed over Trinity Catholic by a score of 8-2, on Wednesday, January 10th. This marks Darien’s second win on the season, their first being over rival New Canaan on December, 23. This win was also the end of a four game losing streak for the team, and they hope this big win can stir up some momentum for the squad as they move forward in the season. Captain Will Dickson lead the team in points (4) in the game, all four of his points being assists. The team also received a big contribution from two of it’s juniors, Hudson Pokorny, and Griffin Martens, who combined for five of the team’s eight goals. The other three goal scorers for the team were Bennett McDermott, Robbie Stewart, and Will Johnston. Go support the varsity hockey team in their next game at Darien Ice Rink on Saturday, where they will look to avenge a 4-3 loss from earlier in the season vs. Greenwich.
