The girls’ basketball team defeated Stamford High School, 46-34, in an away game on Thursday. (2/3) The team maintained good defense throughout, and even better offense, providing sophomore Meg Marren with many layup and rebound opportunities, which she successfully executed. Another big rebounder was sophomore Kate Bushell. Junior Amy Biggart and senior Nicole Buch both played well on defense. The team had many fast breaks and got a lot of turnovers. “It was a big game for us. Everyone stepped up when we needed them to, from the starters to the people who came off the bench,” senior captain Julia Boulton said. Be sure to come watch the team play in its next game against Wilton High School at Wilton at 7pm on Friday. (2/4)
