Boys Golf Continues Dominance

By Sam Nelson - On Monday (5/16) the Blue Wave boys golf team took on rivals New Canaan. For the first time in 11 years, the Blue Wave were able to come away with a huge win to improve to 13-0-1. The team was rewarded by spectacular play by the two underclassmen playing on Varsity. Freshman Cam Van de Graaf checked in with a 39 and sophomore Kieran Suri finished with a 39 as well. The other three members of the team were the three captains, seniors Andrew Winter, Brian Curry, and Chris Carmody. Winter recorded a 41, Curry with the team best 38, and Carmody with a 46. The match was held at Country Club of New Canaan and Darien took the match by six strokes (163-157). Its next match will be held on Wednesday (5/18) against Greenwich at Griffith E Harris Golf Course.
