Boys Hockey Wins Fourth Straight

By Jack Rehm

In a game dominated by defense by both Darien and Trinity Catholic, the boys hockey team was able to come out with a 1-0 victory on Saturday night (1/14). Junior Jack Knowlton scored the game’s lone goal just 28 seconds into the first period. The goal was Knowlton’s team-leading sixth of the season.

The defensive struggle was led by senior captain Hank Lucas Glick, as the Blue Wave was able to keep the Crusaders off the scoreboard behind another outstanding performance from fellow senior captain and goalie Max Rothston. Rothston is now averaging allowing just 2.23 goals per game this season.

The Blue Wave is now 5-3 on the season, allowing just three goals over their last four games. The boys return to action on Wednesday night (1/18) when they will play host to Greenwich.
