The Darien Girls Varsity Lacrosse team beat Staples 18-10 in an away game on Thursday (4/22), adding another win to its record. Though they came through strong at the end, the first half of the game was close. The girls got off to a rough start, holding a small lead at halftime. But in the second half, the team pulled several goals ahead. By the end, most of the team had gotten a chance to play “It wasn’t our best, but I’m confident that we can and will perform on Saturday. Garden City is a really big competitor and it will be awesome to play against girls with such high skill levels,” junior goalie Claire Dickson said. The girls face the Nassau County, N.Y. team away at 1pm on Saturday. (4/24)
