Girls' outdoor track started its season with a strong opening, winning against Weston, 85 to 60 on Thursday. (4/8) Senior Christy Gasparino won four events: 100 hurdles in 15.8 seconds; long jump with a jump of 16-1; triple jump with a length of 35-10 and the high jump at 5-2. Senior Meredith Jordan clinched first place in the 100 and 200 with times of 13.4 and 27.7, respectively. Senior Hannah Lyons won the 1600 in 5:57.1, and Sam Simon took the 400 with a time of 62.0. Junior Megan Keene won the 800 in 2:25, while Aimee Rich took the discus with a throw of 94 feet, and Niya Wright clinched the shot put with 26-10.75. Come out and support the girls at their next meet against New Canaan at home on April 22.
