Girls Varsity Lax Lose in Over-time to Ridgefield; Fall to 3-2 in the FCIAC
By Shelby Penfield - The girls’ varsity lacrosse team went up against Ridgefield this past Wednesday. They unexpectedly lost in overtime 10-11. The team wasn’t expecting the competition to be so strong, but they were able to stick their ground throughout most of the game. Freshman Emily Stein was standout, scoring two of the goals. Freshman Dillon Schoen (pictured), senior Ellie Bullit, sophomores Taylor Hardison and Jena Fritts, and juniors Emily Tropsa and Brynn Gasparino all scored goals as well. The Defense played a tough game, defending Darien’s goal from Ridgefield’s aggressive offense. The next game will be away at Fairfield Ludlowe on Friday at 4 p.m. Be sure to check it out!
