By Danno Rizzuto - Rally Leads Wave Mens Volleyball to FCIAC final on Wednesday May 26, 2011, the Mens Volleyball team beat Bridgeport Central 3 to 1 to advance into the FCIAC Finals. Bridgeport started out the stronger team, winning the first game. “We didn’t play well at all in the first game,” junior Matt Collier said. However, after this game, Darien turned it around. They rebounded to win the second match. “In the second game we began to play more as a team and to play together,” said Matt. The Wave kept strong through the third and fourth game dealing with strong competition from their opponent. But, Darien was able to tough it out and won both these games to advance to the final, which will be played on Friday May 27th against Staples.
